Activities
Ombo Rest Camp offers ostrich & crocodile tours on the farm for
both large and small groups.
During the tour you can feed and touch our ostriches as they are hand
raised and tame. Ombo Rest Camp has a variety of land turtles to be
seen, get to meet Grieta our orphaned warthog, learn more about Lisie
our Nile crocodile and view a variety of lovebird species which fly
around wild here in Namibia. Since the tour is near our waterhole,
you may get the chance to view the other wild animals we have:
springbuck, waterbuck and giraffes.
We also have a hiking trail where the trees are tagged and by using the
pamphlet available at our restaurant, you can read up on all the details
of the relevant tree. Along the trail we have information boards
about our animals. For bird lovers we have a secluded spot which
we have made comfortable for you to sit and view the variety of bird
species at Ombo Rest Camp.
Tours Daily: From 09h00 mornings to 12h00 and again from 14h00 to 16h00
(approximately 25mins).
Aktiwitäten
Ombo Rest Camp bietet ihnen eine Straußen & Krokodil Führung an.
Mitten in der Führung, haben die Gäste die Gelegenheit, um unsere
Strauße zu füttern und zu streicheln. Gäste können verschiedene
Landschildkröten besichtigen. Gretel unser Warzenschwein kennen lernen
und Lisa das große Niel Krododil erleben.
Vom Restaurant und dem Bungalows, kann man die Wildtiere besichtigen bei
der Wasserstelle. Wir haben die Strauße, Springböcke, Wasserböcke und
Giraffen.
Unsere Wanderweg hat verschiedene Baumarten mit Benamung. Schilder auf
dem Weg, die mehr von unserem Tieren beschreiben.
Eine Futter und Wasserstelle, für die große vielzahl verschiedenen
Vogelarten, zu besichtigen.
Bei Unserer Rezeption können Sie ein Formula bekommen, wobei die Namen
von den Bäumen angezeigt und benannt werden.
